Short overview

England international Aggie Beever-Jones is expected to sign a new contract with Chelsea, committing her future to the club. The 22-year-old academy graduate has become a regular WSL goalscorer and will play a more prominent role next season after Sam Kerr's departure.

England international Aggie Beever-Jones is set to sign a new contract with Chelsea, ending speculation over her future at the club. The 22-year-old striker's previous deal was due to expire this summer, but she had an option to extend for a further year. It is understood that Beever-Jones has agreed to commit her long-term future to the Women's Super League side.

Academy graduate turned key player

Beever-Jones graduated from Chelsea's academy and has since established herself as a regular goalscorer in the WSL and an England international. After helping England win Euro 2025, injury problems limited her game time last season, netting four goals in 11 WSL starts. However, the previous campaign she was a key figure, filling in for the injured Sam Kerr and scoring nine goals in 22 appearances as Chelsea claimed a domestic treble.

Increased role expected next season

With Kerr's departure from the club, and Chelsea's pursuit of Manchester City top-scorer Khadija Shaw falling through, Beever-Jones is expected to play a more prominent role in the 2026-27 season. The England striker ended the current campaign on a high, starring in the Women's World Sevens London series and scoring late in the final as Chelsea beat Manchester United.
