Ipswich Town Women have secured the permanent signing of forward Kit Graham on a two-year contract, following a productive loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur last season. The 30-year-old joined the club in January and made an immediate impact, scoring twice in 10 appearances. Both goals were long-range strikes in a 3-0 victory over Birmingham City.

Graham excited for the future

Graham expressed her enthusiasm about staying with the club. "The girls worked so hard to secure survival in WSL 2 and I'm excited to see how much we can continue to grow together," she said. Her experience and goal-scoring ability are expected to bolster Ipswich's attacking options as they prepare for the upcoming season.

New assistant manager appointed

The signing coincides with the appointment of Matt Pooley as assistant manager. Pooley previously served as the under-18s lead coach in the men's academy. Women's technical director Sean Burt praised the addition: "He brings a wealth of experience in player development and a strong understanding of creating high-performance environments. His knowledge, energy and attention to detail will be a real asset to the group."

Contract renewals and squad stability

Last week, captain Maria Boswell and midfielder Leah Mitchell signed new contracts with the club, signaling a period of stability and ambition. The club is building a competitive squad for the upcoming season in the Women's Super League 2.
