Marc Cucurella Dismisses Transfer Talk: 'I Am Happy Where I Am'

Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella has made it clear he is not interested in discussing a potential transfer away from Stamford Bridge, telling reporters he is happy with his current situation and has asked his camp to shield him from any speculation.

Speaking to El Partidazo de COPE, the Spanish international said: “I am happy where I am. I told my camp not to tell me anything now, I don’t wanna know anything.”

Cucurella’s Future Under the Spotlight

The 26-year-old has been linked with a return to Spain, with both Barcelona and Atlético Madrid reportedly monitoring his situation at Chelsea. However, Cucurella was quick to shut down such talk when pressed on the matter.

“Barcelona or Atlético? Next question!” he replied with a laugh, making it clear he has no intention of engaging with transfer rumors at this stage.

Current Role at Chelsea

Cucurella joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2022 for a fee reported to be around £62 million. After a challenging first season, he has become a more regular fixture under manager Enzo Maresca, featuring prominently in the Premier League and Conference League this campaign.

His comments suggest he is focused on his performances for the Blues and does not want distractions from outside interest, whether from La Liga giants or other suitors.
